The staff is absolutely wonderful. This is such a gem for Rocky River. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. The bar is the perfect size. The staff is extremely friendly. Chris is a great bartender there, and a hard worker. I'm not from the area, but it is definitely worth the drive for some good food and even better service.

Came when I was in the area for a job interview. The painkiller that Chris made me really helped after that lol. I had a tuna melt and wings and enjoyed both. I like really everything about the place. For someone that really enjoys food and trying new places the highest compliment I can give is that I would come back

Fantastic fare at this iconic spot enjoyed by entire group…Tavern Tots were a highlight… loved zucchini sticks and fried baloney sandwich for our appetizers too…Patty melt was said to be the way a patty melt should taste, and very rare to find by our family patty melt expert who has eaten them literally everywhere…. Burgers, chicken Caesar salad, salmon BLT sandwich were great. Great service, charming setting, always love the patio here in season.

You won't find a better burger anywhere. It's no surprise they have been around so long. Our bartender Chris was such a nice guy....one of those people that makes you feel welcome just walking in the door.

Herb's even better than I remember. Service was terrific. Interesting and creative menu. The food was excellent. Blood Orange Margaritas were outstanding. A Westside landmark that's a must visit.
